What is JD Search?

Webbtree JD Search enables recruiters and talent acquisition professionals to find candidates based on the content of a job description or specific job requirements. By entering a job description or uploading a JD file, the platform creates a Boolean query to identify candidates who best match the job profile.

Steps to Perform a JD Search on Webbtree Talent Discovery

Step 1: Log In to Your Webbtree Talent Source Account.

To get started, access the Webbtree Talent Discovery platform and log in with your credentials. If you don't have an account, sign up for one.

  1. Step 2: Access the Search Interface:
Once you're logged in, navigate to the Talent discovery from the global menu. This is where you can start creating and running searches.

Step 3: Select JD Search:
Click on JD search option from the various search options offered

Step 4: Input Your Job Description:

In the JD Search interface, you have two options:

Upload a JD: If you have a job description document in a compatible format (e.g., PDF, DOCX), you can upload it directly to the platform.

Paste Job Description: Alternatively, you can paste the job description or specific requirements directly into the provided text box.

Step 5: Run Your JD Search:

Once the upload is completed click the "Hunt Candidates" button to initiate the JD search. The platform will return a list of candidates who closely match the job description or requirements you provided.

Step 6: Review and Refine Your Query:

The platform will display the generated Boolean query for your review. You can further refine the query if needed by adding or modifying keywords or using Boolean operators like AND, OR, and NOT.
